In The Style Of Kairouan Print

Paul Klee In The Style Of Kairouan (1914 )

Watercolor Painting
Paul Klee’s highly individual style was influenced by movements in art that included expressionism, cubism, and surrealism. He was also a student of orientalism.
After Klee’s visit to Tunisia, where he was inspired by the quality of light, he returned home with the determination to be a painter. This led him to create The Style Of Kairouan, a composition of simple colored shapes. It is the first purely abstract painting created by Paul Klee.

Hope II Print

Gustav Klimt Hope II (Abandoned Hope ) 1908 Painting

Gustav Klimt was an Austrian symbolist painter and one of the most prominent members of the Vienna Secession movement. Klimt is noted for his paintings, murals, sketches, and other objets d’art. Klimt’s primary subject was the female body; his works are marked by a frank eroticism.
Laying the groundwork for Art Deco and Modernism, Klimt’s creative influence can still be seen in today’s art, decorations and jewelry.
